Deceased Name: IRVING EISENBERG

Irving Eisenberg, 89, longtime Duluthian died August 18, 2003, in San Francisco, Calif.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, his family moved to Wisconsin at an early age. He graduated from Superior Central High School in 1932, excelling in Oratory. Subsequently, he attended Superior State Teacher's College and later finished his collegiate training with a Bachelor's degree (Business Administration) at the University of Wisconsin. As a veteran of World War II, (1942-1946) he served in the European Theater. He also had an extensive employment background as a photographic darkroom man both in private enterprise and in the military service. Upon returning to Duluth after his army service, he became the accountant for Union Compressed Steel Company. thereafter, he established a private practice in Public Accounting which lasted over thirty years.

Irving married Rose Lavine Eisenberg of superior Wisc. who predeceased him dying in October, 1999. Their only child, Dr. Elliot S. Eisenberg, survives him. A grandson, Kyle Devin Eisenberg, of San Francisco, also remains alive along with a number of nephews

Mr. Eisenberg was a member of Temple Israel, The University of Wisconsin Alumni, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Minnesota Association of Public Accountants.

SERVICE:11:30 a.m.on Friday, August 22, 2003, at Temple Israel in Duluth. Donations can be made to the Temple Israel Endowment Fund.
